◆ more and more like

        I always remember that the first time I saw Professor Cohen, who teaches writing and research, he looks so seriously and an impatient person. Some students and I don’t know that the classroom has changed to another one, and when we finally went to the right classroom, it’s already 15 minutes late. He seemed like that we shouldn’t make such a mistake, and he closed his mouth into a line. Everybody can feel his anger. In that moment, I just think: What an unfamiliar professor.



        As the day goes by, he shows more and more smiles on his good-looking face, and starts talking about the living stuffs during the class. I start to enjoy this class though he gives a lot of homework everyday. Every time he wrote “good job” on my homework, I really think that I can achieve his high standard. It really makes me proud.



        I wrote a paper about the housing market in Seattle in my last paper. Because Professor Cohen was from Seattle, I can feel that he wants to know the opinion form a foreigner, me. Today, after class, I stayed in the classroom and asked him some questions. He was concerned with my feeling in U.S.A. and had I adapt to the living style here. I told him that the people here are not so friendly with my imagination when I was in Taiwan. He agreed with me. I also told him that I like Seattle very much, and I like the weather and people there. He is so happy when I said so. And he smiles so cute. I like it!!



        This is a tough writing class but I learned a lot from it. And now, the professor is concerned with me, I really love this writing class. I am so glad that I haven’t dropped it.

        我一直記得第一次見到Professor Cohen的情景。他教我一堂“writing and research”的課。那時我和一些學生不知道教室換了，等我們終於走到正確的教室時，已經晚了十五分鐘。當我們這些人走進教室時，打斷了正在上課的他，只見他把嘴唇抿的緊緊的，不用說，大家都感到他的生氣。當我看到syllabus時，上面很清楚的寫著：「不可遲到，遲到超過10分鐘，就不用來了。」哈！我們很明顯的犯了他的規定，狼怪他看起來結塞臉。那時只覺得這堂課應該很艱辛吧～



        隨著時間流逝，他好看的臉上出現笑容的頻率越來越多了，也漸漸會跟我們說一些生活上的瑣事。我開始喜歡這堂課，即使他是給我們最多作業的一堂。一星期上兩次課，每次都有作業～天哪！這堂課不算畢業學分的說～不過只要我看到他批回來的作業上，寫著“good job”時，我便會為自己可以達到他的高標準而感到驕傲。也越來越喜歡這堂課了。



        上一篇paper我寫的是關於西雅圖的房屋市場。因為Professor Cohen出生於西雅圖，可以很明顯的感受到他想知道外國人/陌生人，我，對於西雅圖的看法。今天下課後，我留下來問他一些問題。他順便問了我在美國生活習慣嗎？我很老實的告訴他這邊的人很不友善（我的屎室友），跟我在台灣的想像差很多。結果他不能同意我再多呢！我們都一致認為西雅圖真的很不錯，人友善、氣候又好～結果因為我一直說西雅圖的好話，所以他又露出很可愛的笑容，討厭！因為我之前用學校的email帳號，少收了他一封信，所以這次把yahoo的帳號給他，結果他就很開心的說：「哇～你生日剛過不久ㄝ～生日快樂！」總之，是個好老師。



        雖狼他作業很多，上課也很緊湊，但我真的學到很多。現在發現他是個平易近人的可愛教授，真的很慶幸當初沒有退選這堂課。
